General - Terms and Conditions
1. Initial payment – to secure a booking an initial deposit of £100 to be paid within 7 days. The deposit is non-returnable.
2. Once a deposit is received, an acknowledgement will be sent to you to confirm the booking.
3. Balance to be paid 6 weeks before date of arrival. If not received, the deposit will be forfeited and we will be entitled to re-let the property.
4. If booking 6 weeks or less before your holiday the full amount is to be paid when booking.
5. If you cancel we will try to re-let but if unable to do so, no refund will be payable. If we are able to re-let a refund minus £50 administration charge will be paid.
6. We recommend you have travel and cancellation insurance.
7. In the event of our not being able, for any reason, to honour your booking, our liability will be restricted to re-payment of the deposit/balance received from you.
8. Arrival – the cottage will be available from 4.00pm.
9. Departure time is by 10.00am, to allow the necessary time to prepare and maintain the property for the next guests.
10. Any breakages must be replaced or adequately compensated for, breakages or damage must be notified using the log sheet in the property.
11. All equipment, utensils etc. Must be left in a clean condition at the end of the hire period. This is also true for the general state of the cottage, including carpets, kitchen, sinks, bathrooms, toilet etc.
12. If the condition you leave the property in results in additional cleaning time over and above what is customary, you will be sent a charge both for the additional cleaning time involved and any specialist cleaning of soft furnishings.
13. Complaints should be taken up with the owner immediately so they can be rectified.
14. Duvets and 2 pillows per person with linen and towels are provided, tea towels are not supplied.
15. Whilst we have in force appropriate insurance for public liability, responsibility cannot be accepted for your personal effects – all normal and proper precautions should be taken to safeguard your property.
16. We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or injury to persons, animals, possessions or vehicles anywhere on our property during your stay.
17. We operate a no smoking policy in the cottage. If, on departure, it is apparent that you have been smoking, charges for additional cleaning, especially of soft furnishings will be sent to you.
18. We reserve the right to repossess the cottage Bryn Afon at any time where damage has been caused by you or any member of your party or in our opinion is likely to be caused by the above mentioned. In such cases we shall not be liable to make a refund of any portion of the hire terms paid.
19. You are responsible for the cottage and its equipment during the period of hire and you are expected to take all reasonable care of it.
20. Pets – a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are permitted at the cottage. Please refer to the separate ‘Dogs – Terms and Conditions’.
21. No cots are provided.
22. The maximum number of people staying at Bryn Afon is 4.
