Bryn Afon

An attractive 19th Century, semi detached, stone built cottage situated in the tiny hamlet of Nant Gwynant, close to the River Glaslyn and Lake Gwynant in the heart of Snowdonia.  Recently renovated to a high standard combining some original features with modern fixtures and fittings, Bryn Afon is surrounded by some of the most dramatic scenery in the Snowdonia National Park.  The property offers a warming wood fuel stove and a lovely terraced garden providing wonderful mountain views.  Nearby is the start of the famous Watkin Path, which ascends Snowdon, and with the Yr Aran and Moel Hebog mountains close by, this is a paradise for climbing, walking and mountain biking. Visit the village of Beddgelert, Porthmadog, wonderful Black Rock Sands beach and picturesque Betws-y-Coed.

Accommodation

The property comprises of a Lounge / Dining room, which has an exposed stone inglenook with a wood fuel stove and an open beam ceiling.  The kitchen has been newly fitted to a high standard and includes an integral dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge (no ice box) and a touch automotive ceramic hob and oven.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin and a newly fitted bathroom comprising of a panelled bath with curved shower section and screen, a wash hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.

Externally there is a raised front garden and a secure storage cupboard and to the rear a lawned garden area arranged over 4 levels with the top level having magnificent views towards the mountains and Snowdonia, with natural woodland framing the rear garden which is securely fenced.

Full electric central heating, wood fuel stove in sitting room. Electric oven & hob, microwave, fridge (no ice box), washer/dryer, TV, DVD player (there is no TV reception). Electricity, bed linen & towels are included in rent.  Off road parking for 2 cars in shared lay-by 20 yds away on first come first served basis. Rear terraced garden with furniture & mountain views.

Cafe is a few minutes walk by the start of the Watkins path.

Note: Bryn Afon is situated in an elevated position on the main road between Beddgelert and Capel Curig and is accessed via a few steps.
